Swedish indie rock duo Little Lies have dropped their new single, ‘Carolina’. The band’s amalgamation of influences, ranging from Fleetwood Mac, to Roy Orbison and The Byrds, shines through in their music as they deftly blend elements to create a sound that is uniquely their own. Captivating melodies and nostalgic sounds are at the heart of the song, with a shiny, bright production style complementing their compositional ideas. “'Carolina' tells the tale about standing up for a friend who is being treated badly by a partner,” they say. “Musically we usually create a mixed soundscape with old and new, but with 'Carolina' we've gone all in for a homage to the 60s music we both love.” The duo are gearing up to release their debut EP, Us Against The World, later this year. -Dan Peeke
